I have made several games with tile based graphics before. I have been really involved with the entire game finalizing phase, where you decide which level is getting harder and where you need to turn it up a notch. In past, I've made in game screen to change settings like how frequently the power ups should spawn, or the monsters should spawn, so that the client can pin point the exact settings that suit the game. (This really puts power in the hands of the client)
