Android NFC "Keyboard"

We have an Android (jelly bean) device that has a built in NFC reader. We have the SDK and sample apps that can read the UIDs of cards using it. We need an app that will sit in the background and send the card UID followed by the enter key to the active foreground app as if it was typed on the virtual keyboard whenever a NFC card is tapped. Just read the UID of the card, nothing else. This will allow NFC card UIDs to be captured into any app by simply tapping the card(s). The device is a CM388D Android hand-held with 2D barcode scanner and NFC reader. It already has an app for barcode reading that does what we need. We need a similar app for NFC cards.
