I have used xml files for webservives, and some months ago I ran into a similar project, using vba code I was able to create the xml files, exporting the files to excell and word is a sinch. Tricky part is creating the xml file according to the specs you provide. Proposal: 34 + years experience, successfully deploying database solutions. 23 + years programming with Access. Hi, I would suggest SQL Server if you want to go to web. It's fully accessible from VBA (word, excel...), has XML capabilities (I do not get what "XML Database" means, but if it is just to return XML data to be prepared to serve in a web environment SQL Server is a better choice).
