Access 2013/2016 Database - Order/Customer/Invoice Tracking Database

Currently having issues with our Access 2003 database. It uses a PostgreSQL database as a backend. Was originally installed on Windows XP machines, but since upgrading to Windows 8/10 with Office 2013/2016, we have been experiencing random crashes ("This application has caused an error"), and ODBC errors. Our original developer moved away, but had a look at the problems and said that the OLE objects need to be changed from Embedded Sources to linked sources, and the ODBC errors need to be traced back to check for the cause - but seemed to think it would be missing data in the records causing it. Records that are saved, are also not appearing immediately to other users, and seem to take about five minutes to show.
