I have a laptop running Ubuntu Linux. I want to create a LiveCD version of my current installation on a 1TB external USB drive for backup purposes. I do not need data backed up just system and applications. I have tried Pinguy Builder which creates an ISO ok. Both Startup Disk Creator and Etcher create a bootable usb drive but no user / password combination works. I have even tried installing everything twice, once on usb drive and once on laptop but ubuntu software centre on usb is different to laptop. usb now coming up as read only for updates but I can copy files to it. I am lost I just want someone to talk me through how to create bootable copy of laptop on external drive, no coding, no files to be sent, just help and advice - I have very limited budget $10, but as I say, no coding, just help and advice - can complete today if you wish but you will have to allow me time for any downloads, installing, testing etc.
Hi,
I have done it many times for myself. I can do the same for you also. It is pretty easy to be very honest.
Please, let me know if i can help you out, I can deliver it in 3 hours from now.
Thanks,
