Database syncing

We have a large table of 200k products which we export from ODBC to a Joomla Mysql database. We need a developer to set our database up so that we can easily update the virtuemart tables in the same database on a monthly basis ( we would delete the old table and replace with a new table by the same name or new name ). Table has all needed fields, including categories. There is also a smaller table ( active products ) which we need to sync ( one way - to virtuemart ) on a weekly basis. Table fields can probably be changed if needed.
