Data Integration Software development based on distributed application structure using the client-server model. Planned Product Capabilities • Allow users to create/manage remote data sources (an SQL database or a flat text file) • Allow users to design metadata structures and define dimensions, measures by mapping database/text file columns in the metadata structure thru the cleint-side web user interface. • Provide a WS/WSS endpoint to communicate with the web user interface developed with Javascript, JQuery, Json • Store remote data source definitions, designed metadata structures and configuration in a local database. • Automatically generate SQL DML statements or import text flat files according to designed metadata. • Load full/incremental data from remote data sources (i.e. a data warehouse) using generated/customized SQL DML statements on demand or as scheduled. • Store loaded data, status information in a local database and allow users to monitor status and manage storage (i.e. delete data) thru the client-side web ui. • Allow users to create/manage schedules to execute data loading/updating on predefined intervals (daily, weekly, monthly etc) thru the client-side web ui. • Store scheduling information, activity logs and status information in a local database. • Execute the scheduled loading/update operation on time • Transmit the stored data when requested by java based client application, request parameters may contain record filters • Provide a WS/WSS endpoint to communicate with the client application(s) for data transmission Java EE 7 and NetBeans IDE will be used for development. GitHub and Confluence will be used for development and project coordination Skill Required Java EE, SQL, WebSockets, GitHub, HTML, Json, Javascript, Jquery

Hello, I have read through the description provided here. Though you have provided sufficient details but I am somehow not able to get high level view on what we want to achieve. I understand that we want to develop 1. A web application, that will provide REST based web services as well as some UI 2. As far as I understood, we will also develop a desktop based application which will use this REST API to provide functionality on desktop 3. There will be DB for both web app and desktop application. Since you have not provided functional scenario, I am not really able to map what needs to be done. We have done multiple desktop / web based J2EE applications using Struts / Spring frameworks. We have also developed RESTful API in past. So if you could give a bit of functional overview of what the application is supposed to do, or have a quick Skype voice call to explain the things that will help us estimate the project. Heya, I went through your requirements and most of them are clear. I have worked with quartz scheduler before. Quartz scheduler handles everything related to your jobs, you can handle when and how to run them. Some doubts: 1. Need some more discussion about the metadata and how you are planning to create table using them. 2. Will the DML be generated on client side or server side ? 3.
