Basic Website with four tasks

This is a very (very) basic website for an educational project. The website should have three jsp pages. [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and actions.jsp. The website should demonstrate some Webservices and Hibernate functionalities in addition to JSP/Servlet technology. Finally, the website should run on two Tomcat Application servers – mainly because we want to see client/stub working in a cross VM environment.

REQUIREMENTS

1. The Website Title should be the name of the Company found in the [url removed, login to view] (sample provided at the end of this document) file. The name of the property is Company Name. For eg. Hybrid Energy, Hybrid Retail Stores etc.

2. [url removed, login to view] – Only function on this page is to login a user. Use user name ‘dwilliam’ and validate password in MySQL db ‘dwilliam’. Once logged in a session should be maintained until the user clicks Logout. Bottom of [url removed, login to view] there should be links like “About Us”, “Investors”, “Careers”, “Contact Us”, “Site Map”. If we click on these links – [url removed, login to view] should be called.

3. [url removed, login to view] – Display message “Under Construction”

4. [url removed, login to view] – Should have two transactions. First will create a new user in the MySQL db. Second will move a date from current date to a date in future.

5. The Website will run on two Tomcat Application servers. The first instance will be the main instance and will take care of all functionality except for one transaction that will be a cross-VM webservice call.
