General: I require a Chrome Extension that can read a specific value off a page (the structure of the page - sample etc will be provided after the freelancer is selected). The Chrome Extension will need to be page specific and run in the background + have an interface to show the information scrapped from the page. Local storage will need to be used to store a small amount of data. Indepth flow: 1) Page in chrome is loaded 2) Extension will activate when the base URL matches 3) Extension will read the data specificed on the click of a button within the extension 4) Extension will run in the background and compare the read data from step 3 with the new data from this step 5) When the numbers meet a preset difference, the script will fill out a form on the page and submit it. Extras: The extension will be run against multiple pages at the same time, and all the background processes need to be seperate and ongoing (while the associated tab is still running). Maximum budget is £150. All source code will need to be provided and tested as working before payment. Ongoing work may follow. If you have any questions then please ask. Hi, I have reviewed your project requirements and I am interested in helping you with this project. I know how to read data from a web page using Javascript or jQuery, so I can retrieve the specific value from the page that you want to retrieve. I can then store this on the local file system and use that information to compare new data with the old to see if there's any changes. Based on the changes preset, the extension will fill out the form and submit it. I use Google Chrome fairly often, and I'm familiar with how to develop Google Chrome extensions (even though I have not actually made one before). I have done a number of jobs over the years, including developing modules for Drupal using PHP, and a custom plugin for Pidgin using the C Programming Language. I have several years experience working with the full LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP), as well as HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. I'm detail oriented, a fast learner, who can pick up new things. I have an Associate Degree in Computer Science, and I'm close to getting my Bachelor's in CS with a possible minor in Mathematics.
