ON THE MONEY PROJECT 2015 Project goal is an application where one can upload a picture into a customized template frame (the shape will be provided by me), resize and adjust that picture within the template, and then add limited text in a specific area of the template and be able to save and print it. The template frame will not change, however, the picture and text will be different for every order. The original picture will generally be a portrait but may need some adjustments. Available adjustments desired: • Eliminate background • Resize • Bring display zone forward/backwards • Bring display zone up/down or left/right • Rotate image (within the template) • Color or Natural Dollar Effect. (Natural Dollar Effect will correct the images halftone, distortion, wave, hue and saturation all together with one button click to a preset effect.) • Nameplate size normal or slightly enlarged (for better visibility) What I am attempting to create is a “sticker” to overlay (cover over) the portrait and name of George Washington on the front side of a US One Dollar Bill. I want to be able to take a photo that had been uploaded and adjusted on the site by a user to have the proper “look” that they desire, I need to be able to print that picture out in a specific location on the print media, in single or multiple times on a custom sheet as each sticker will be only about 1.25 x 1.5 inches each. I will then take the “sticker” and place it on a “new” one dollar bill, and then put the whole order together and mail the completed order to the user. I am particularly impressed with how adjustments to the display zone are handled at: [login to view URL] The photo handling is very professionally done with a very attractive interface. Unfortunately the customizing options are very limited at best. They don’t offer an option to eliminate any unwanted background or allow you to adjust the color and effect, no name on the banner etc. However the interface (on a $1oo. Bill) is very attractively done. Another site that is very close to what I want is: [login to view URL] It adjustment options are also very good. Note that neither of these sites offer you the option to replace the “Washington” nameplate (under the portrait) with another name as I want to be able to do.
