Brochure / Catalogue / Booklet Design

Hi Everyone, I am looking for someone to design an upmarket brochure for a piano shop that will open soon. It would be a mini-catalogue / booklet that would be used to promote the stores products and services and would have to have a long shelf life, so no Opening Specials or anything like that. If you are successful and do a great job, there is 99% chance of more work in the future. If you view this as a 'job', it is probably not for you. If you think pianos are beautiful instruments, are passionate about music and view this as wonderful chance to create something exciting - you are on track! I have never used this service before so am open to suggestions on price, payment terms and timelines. I don't even know if this is the right budget as I have never done this type of thing before. However, I am not flexible on the following: 1) The final product would have to be delivered (email is fine) to me as a native InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop file, so I can edit and make changes as required. I currently use Adobe CS3 for Mac (not CS4) so I need the files to suit that format. 2) I need to own all the content for all of the materials that are produced. In other words, all IP (intellectual property) and copyrights would be assigned exclusively to me. This would give me the assurance that you would not use the template for anyone else. If you use stock images as placeholders, I would purchase them directly from the company (eg iStock). 3) I would require you to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The scope of the job is as follows: Following the broad structure below, I can provide some images and copy (text) but would like someone to mock up concepts using dummy text and iStock photos or similar. I will give out exact details (store name, brands, logos etc) to the winning bidder, but for the moment, I hope there are enough details below to get you thinking: Overall 1) The store has a mission statement that is similar to 'We cater for all your piano needs" and this needs to be stylised throughout the publication 2) For the design I have thought of options like having a shaped grand piano silhouette in the background and/or black & white watermarked keys down the side or bottom the page - but I will leave all of that up to you since I am not the expert. 3) I had envisioned a landscape A4 project but am open to suggestions. 4) I will get you all product images - but these are just pianos, you may want to include some life-style shots (someone playing) or have some creative images (see attached) so you would need to get some placeholders to slot in 5) I will supply all logos, some product shots and the text. I will need you to find images that are available for a low cost if you feel the publication needs a different look/feel as mentioned earlier (eg iStock). 6) For inspiration, you can find some wonderful imagery on the following websites and download their brochures to see how they translate it to print. Front Cover Need an image that encapsulates everything about pianos and has the store name and some brand logos Page 2 A welcome note (about 100 words) that talks about the store and its philosophy An image with a short bio on the Managing Director (about 50 words) Open for other suggestions Page 3 An image of the showroom and a brief overview of the business with one or two pull-quotes Page 4 & 5 A double page spread dedicated to one brand of pianos that the shop carries with about 200 words There has to be representation of a flagship (prestigious) model, a grand piano and a smaller representation of an upright piano Logos would have to be integrated. Page 6 A page dedicated to one brand of pianos that the store carries with about 60 words of text describing the brand Possibly have an image of a grand piano. Another option is to have a grand piano as the focus then a smaller upright piano as an additional option. Page 13 A concise list of services offered by the store eg Sales, Hire, Tuition, Valuations & Inspections, Advice, Repairs, Refurbishment, Piano Freight Services and Relocation, Specialized Advice etc Page 14 - Outside Back Cover Shop details (name, logo, address + map, phone, email, website etc)
