Depression means metaphorically literally snuffing out the Energy Candle from your body, leaving in its wake but darkness and bleakness in your life, your thoughts, your hopes, and your actions. Too much anxiety and depression puts an ultra negative spin on everything you do or say, including the way you perceive yourself and the world around you.
This pessimisstic mindframe becomes so rigid that you start identifying yourself as a total failure even before attempting anything. Your emdeavours towards any task are weak and feeble, screaming of despondency and morbidness.
Though at the time it does feel like the end of the world, depression can be overcome if not completely vanquished. Easier said than done, because despite all outer help that can be offered to you, the only one who can help yourself is YOU and YOU ALONE! The first and foremost prerequisite is that the victim has to FIRMLY decide to leave the hell behind and conquer it.
It is like if you have fallen in well, hands would be offered to pull you out. But till you do not take up the courage, raise your hand and agree to receive the offered help, you certainly cannot be pulled out of there!
To step out of your comfort zone would be the most difficult thing to attempt, but the catch 22 situation demands that unless you do not step out of your comfort zone, you cannot even START your war against depression. There are many holistic and medicinal ways to overcome depression…
