I sell graphic t-shirts, hoodies, tanks, etc and I receive orders via email. When the order comes in I look at the SKU (or the description) and I extract all the information I need from that and fill in the appropriate spreadsheets. At the end of the day I then know how many graphics to print and what shirts/colors/sizes to order (see attached images). This works out really good except that it leaves room for human error. I'm looking for someone who can write some AppleScript, use Apple Automator, or some script in Excel to make this happen. I would like to simply copy the SKU from the email and paste it somewhere else and all the details will be extracted and added to the spreadsheet for me automatically.
All the information that I need is in the SKU. Here is an example SKU:
“BEETS” is the graphic
“G185” is the style
“M” is the size
“BLAC” is the color
The only thing that isn't quite specific in the SKU is in the graphic section. I actually have 3 different colors for the BEETS graphics, and that color is determined by the color of the shirt that is in the order (in this example it's BLAC). I have a unique SKU for every single variation of every t-shirt, hoodie, etc that I sell.
I need something that is scalable as I'm constantly adding new graphics and styles (apparel) to the mix.
Finally, I prefer to use Apple Numbers instead of Microsoft Excel. If absolutely necessary though, I can use Excel (but I prefer not to).
