detecting eye from image and draw rectangle over the eye

I'd use out-of-the-box cascade eye recognizers that come with opencv... C++ ... A linux console app with parameters to specify things like image location and colour of rectangle etc. All source provided, of course.

Hello there, I already have the code in javascript. It is a bit more accurate than what you want, it finds the iris (color part of the eye) when you give it a picture of a face. Please let me know if you are interested. best regards, amir
