Currently, I have a Netgear r6300v2 and asus rt-ac56u running DD-WRT and I wanted to try to get some basic C apps compiled for my DD-WRT routers. Specifically, I want to send XMPP messages. I have used the libstrophe examples on my local machine, but cannot get the projects to compile for the DD-WRT based devices. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] The deliverable will be a few things: A crosscompile environment setup on a vmware machine to be delivered as part of the scope of work. Instructions on setting up the build environment to compile (I know I am missing something). Understanding how to insert/compile my own C code for the target environemnt. A crosscompile of libstrophe for DD-WRT that will run on my Netgear r6300v2 and ASUS rt-ac56u (with instructions). I know there are people out there where this will be very easy, I am using it as a learning process that I am willing to pay for. Thanks, -HL

Hello, I have found out that these two models, are using the same MIPS CPU BCM4708A0, and no problem to build toolchain for that MIPS cpu. Also libstrophe is using autotools, so after you have cross compiler it's as easy as: ./configure --host=mips-unknown-linux-gnu Also if you like I can create you environment to build full openwrt distribution.
