I require a funtion that creates a pseudo random 6 decimal digit pincode using the date as a seed. A maximum of 1000 codes should be valid for any one day meaning the chance of guessing the correct code is 1 in 1000. It should not be possible to generate the same code twice on the same day. The date seed should be the current date as the code should only be valid for the current day. When decoded and validated against the date, the code should contain information pertaining to a size (small, medium or large). The code generator should be written in Delphi and the decoder to be written in C as it will be decoded on a microcontroller.

I often made such encoders. I'm rather good at C and Delphi. mockup provided. with 6 digits, that give almost an address space of 20 bits so I would make a reversible binary encryption of the date and a sequence number. resulting values greater than 999999 (about 10%; 2^20 minus one million) should be rejected. you'll have to explain more about the size parameter. will it be 333 pins in each size each day, or 1000 pins per size, or custom arrangement (one selected size for each pin)

Hello! I can make the program for you. As I understand the program must generate 1000 pin codes for example for today. Today there are correct and are different. As I think it could be done as: first create the secret number. Think of a 3 digits number that you won’t forget. For example, if you are born in 1965, you can use 965 as the secret number. Use the algorithm to create the PIN number. Example: Add the secret number in step 1 with the number one, and multiply it back to itself. 965 * (965 + 1) = 932190 Left(Sha1(DateTime + Salt + PseudoRandom),9) = this can be the algorithm. Using this technique, you will have a PIN number that cannot easily be guessed by others.
