Hello mate, A senior systems engineer with 3 years of industry experiences. If you have allocated an elastic IP into the existing instance, I can keep the same IP with the new instance. If you have a random public IP with the instance, we can not transfer the same IP to the new instance. Waiting for your reply. Thanks!

Hi there, hope you are doing very well! Here is couple of words about myself. I'm experienced Systems Engineer with tons of experience with AWS (as it is one of the platforms I have to deal with on daily basis). In terms of working on this project I have couple of questions. First of all, are you using the Elastic IP for the server? If not, the new server will always get different IP, its actually possible to front it with old server but is it really an option? Its something we'll need to discuss. Next one, would you like to get server being built with automation tools so you can replicate on a large scale further on? It is doable in reasonable time, so if you are interested feel free to drop me a line on that as well. And, finally are you doing any backups (offline, other cloud, Amazone S3 etc)? If not, are you interested in doing those? Feel free to contact me over chat on freelancer, skype (ven1meux) to discuss those questions and may be you will come up with other questions as well. This shouldn't be a problem as long as you have an elastic IP assigned to your current instance. I've been using AWS since it launched. I run all of my servers on AWS. I can help you. I would like to talk to you in more detail. Thanks, -Dave
