Minimal Motion Explainer Video

Title: Motion Designer – Minimalist Editorial Style (Typography + Abstract Visuals) I’m looking for a motion designer to create high-end educational videos combining minimalist motion design with abstract visual storytelling. This is NOT a typical explainer video. Creative Direction • Minimal, restrained motion (no flashy effects) • Combination of: o clean typography o simple geometric / abstract shapes • Visuals should support the message (not decorate it) • Slow pacing, strong emphasis on timing and silence • Dark or neutral backgrounds, premium aesthetic Visual Style Reference Think: • Editorial / documentary motion • Dan Koe–style minimal visuals • Apple / high-end educational content What I expect visually • Use of basic shapes (lines, circles, blocks, gradients) to represent ideas • Subtle animations: o fades o slow movement o transformations • No icons, no stock illustrations, no characters Technical Requirements • DaVinci Resolve or After Effects • Strong sense of timing with voice-over • Ability to build visuals from scratch (no templates) What I’m NOT looking for • Whiteboard animation • Cartoon or character animation • Template-based motion design • “Explainer video” style with icons Ideal Profile • Experience in minimalist / editorial motion design • Strong visual thinking (ability to translate ideas into simple shapes) • Attention to detail and pacing Deliverables • 1–3 minute videos • Clean project files • Potential for long-term collaboration To Apply Please provide a portfolio showcasing similar work
