I have a genealogy program (Reunion) that outputs Pages documents, but they add the notes to the end as paragraph text unconnected to the superscript numbers in the text. As a result, I have to copy and paste each of these notes into a newly-created footnote to be able to get the flexibility of a true footnote in my documents so that I can use the standard genealogical format. I've tried other genealogy software but they deliver worse reports (RTF)! Therefore, I am looking for a script that will: 1. Find superscript notes in text, find the associated text blob at the end, and make it into a footnote. 2. Ignore where a superscript number in the text is the same as another, change it to be incremental with the same note text included (e.g., text may have notes in the text numbered 1, 2...
