I have a pump station sitting at ­-8.00 m that delivers 30 L/s into a 200 mm HDPE rising main. The line leaves the station at –4 m and climbs steadily to 0.00 m over roughly 300 m. Because the system will work under transient flow conditions and can see pressures in the 10 – 20 bar range, I need a full surge (water-hammer) study that captures the effects of sudden valve closures, pump start/stop cycles and any abrupt change in flow direction.
