Driving School in Melbourne, Australia looking for someone to provide logo design.
Hope to find someone good to work with to provide support for future marketing material that needs to be developed.

School Name: Yarra City Driving School

Inspirations for logo:
Logos for 'Vicroads' which is the local transport authority in Melbourne. Google it.
Local Council Logo's: Moreland City Council, Yarra City Council, Hume City Council etc.
L & P plates: these are the plates that learners and new drivers display in their cars in accordance with local road laws.
Feel free to bring in your own inspiration,

I would like the logo to have an air of professionalism, classic, timeless, beurocratic, though can be combined with modern feel to be more family oriented.
I know this sounds contradictory, but I would point to local council logo's and websites for reference.

Business Card: One side should be full logo display, other side is driver information (do not want area for writing appointment)

I have attached my attempt which I am not happy with, so hence coming here, feel free to build on this or add your own flare.

Look forward to your proposals.

Final format for business card submitted should be in Indesign so that new names and details can be added to business cards.

Logo can be submitted in file types as you recommend, please list these in your tender.

Hi All, thank you for your proposal's they are looking great. Please stay away from logo's that look like cars and steering wheels, these are very typical of driving schools. Please refer to the inspirations I have listed, if you want to move away from those inspirations, note that is not a problem at all ( I am no designer myself) so just leave a comment with your post.
